South Korea, and North Korea?

Having been to South Korea and living there for a year I can say that North Korea would have a hard time defending herself long term due to global intervention. The people might be safe but the military wound't do so well. If the war were to turn nukes it could mean the end of more then just the Korean peninsula but the whole world as who knows what Russia's reaction would be this action. The likely hood of this happening is rather low. NK is a poor nation and is hanging on by threads, it biggest ine time supporter China no longer wants to play games as they are more of a capitalistic nation and care more about selling goods on the global economic then the teachings of Karl Marx.
