How do I NUKE a computer?

Have just replaced my old computer. I have had all the files transferred over (it is an old Dell desktop) and now need to know how to dispose of the old tower. Clearly there is a lot of information on that hard drive. Is there something I can do to "kill" this thing in one step so I can just set it out by the garbage?
